Obituary for Tracy Ann Horton
Tracy Ann McGinnis Horton, age 51, of McArthur Street, Pittsfield died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born on November 8, 1967. the daughter of Daniel G. McGinnis, Sr. and the late Linda A. Doyle McGinnis. She was educated in Pittsfield and Dalton schools and was a 1985 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School.
Tracy was an accountant for Donovan & O’Connor. She previously worked for First Agricultural National Bank, which later became TD Bank, as well as at Price Chopper. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an avid reader who loved reading romance stories. A communicant of St. Agnes Church, she was also a loving and caring mother and wife.
She is survived by her father and his wife: Daniel and Mary J. McGinnis, Sr. of Dalton; her husband: Walter Horton III of Pittsfield; two sons: Alexander Horton and Jacob Horton; one brother: Daniel (and Rebecca) McGinnis, Jr. of Saratoga, NY and their daughter Lindsey McGinnis; and 1 sister: Mary Dezess and her fiancé Todd Plumley of Pittsfield and their three children: Colin, Aaron and Thomas Jr.; as well as her mother in law Rosemary Horton.
Tracy was pre-deceased by her mother: Linda A. Doyle McGinnis in 2001.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be WEDNESDAY, JULY 3, 2019 from 4-7pm at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. Main St., Dalton. A brief prayer service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church. Burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
